About the Role

This role requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, as driving is essential to the position.

What You'll Do

  • Direct operational oversight in collaboration with the Associate Director, ensuring all facility services meet safety and quality standards
  • Provide direct supervision to onsite staff, delivering training on shelter operations, facilities management, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain positive community relationships by adhering to good neighbor policies, conducting facility perimeter checks, and addressing any operational concerns
  • Represent our programs to local agencies, community partners, funders, law enforcement, and city and county officials
  • Review and authorize contracts for operations and facilities services, ensuring quality and compliance with reporting requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services, or working with vulnerable populations
  • Strong analytical abilities with careful attention to detail in data review and decision-making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with staff, participants, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach, building positive relationships and recognizing team contributions
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with creativity and initiative in addressing operational challenges
  • Sound ethical judgment and professional integrity in all situations
  • Preferred: Three years of relevant experience and one year of supervisory experience in homeless or social services

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and proof of insurance
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Employment authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to successfully complete tuberculosis testing, background screening, and drug screening
