The Opportunity
OceanaGold is seeking a Principal Operational Technology, Data & Automation to provide enterprise-wide technical leadership across operational technology (OT), industrial data systems, automation, digital mining technologies and operational analytics. This role will serve as a trusted technical advisor to both corporate and site leadership teams, driving the adoption of innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for OT, data systems, and automation initiatives across all sites
- Drive the implementation of advanced technologies in mining operations
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute technology roadmaps
- Ensure alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with site leaders to identify and prioritize technological improvements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in operational technology, data systems, and automation within the mining industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale technological transformations
- Strong understanding of industrial data systems and analytics
- Experience with digital mining technologies and automation tools
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
