Post-Graduate Athletic Intern, Learning Assistance Program (LAP)

Texas Tech University is seeking a dedicated Post-Graduate Athletic Intern within our Learning Assistance Program (LAP) to support student-athlete success in Lubbock. This full-time, on-campus position offers 12–36 months of hands-on professional experience in intercollegiate athletics for college graduates launching their careers in sports administration, athlete development, or athletic compliance.

About the Role

The Post-Graduate Athletic Intern program at Texas Tech University is designed to bridge the transition from college to a full-time career in athletics. Working directly with our athletics department and Learning Assistance Program staff, you'll gain practical experience across multiple facets of Division I athletics—from athlete support and academic compliance to administrative operations and program management.

What You'll Do

• Support student-athlete academic progress and eligibility compliance
• Assist in coordinating learning resources and study programs for the athletic department
• Participate in athletics department meetings, events, and administrative functions
• Help develop and implement policies aligned with NCAA regulations and university standards
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and data management for program oversight
• Work collaboratively with coaching staff, student services, and university administrators

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
