Policy Education & Training Specialist

Maximus seeks a Policy Education & Training Specialist for a full-time position to support critical healthcare policy education and training initiatives in Wyoming, Kent County. In this role, you'll develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that help healthcare organizations and professionals understand and implement national organ transplant policies.

The Opportunity

The Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) serves a vital mission: ensuring equitable access to organ transplants based on medical need and established protocols. As a Policy Education & Training Specialist, you'll be central to helping the healthcare community understand the complex policies that govern organ allocation and transplantation. Your work directly supports the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in strengthening the nation's transplant system through education and training excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop training curricula and educational materials that translate complex transplant policies into clear, actionable guidance
• Deliver engaging training sessions to healthcare professionals, procurement coordinators, and transplant network personnel
• Create documentation, job aids, and reference materials to support policy understanding and compliance
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure training content accuracy and relevance
• Monitor training effectiveness and gather feedback to continuously improve educational programming
• Support policy implementation efforts by identifying training needs and designing targeted educational solutions

What You Bring

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex policies clearly
• Experience in training development, instructional design, or adult education
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Familiarity with healthcare policy, regulations, or compliance environments
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Proficiency with training platforms and learning management systems (preferred)
