Sr Material Handler – Day Shift

Join Nestlé as a Senior Material Handler on our day shift team in Garden, Chatham County. This is a full-time opportunity to lead materials management operations at one of the world's leading nutrition and wellness companies, supporting the production and distribution of trusted health science brands.

About the Role

As a Senior Material Handler, you'll play a critical role in the smooth operation of our warehouse and production facility. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and oversees the movement, organization, and tracking of raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within our distribution center. You'll ensure inventory accuracy, maintain safe handling practices, and help mentor junior team members while meeting daily operational targets.

What You'll Do

• Manage receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished products using warehouse management systems and equipment
• Verify inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical audits, and system reconciliation
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems safely and efficiently
• Train and oversee junior material handlers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
• Maintain organized warehouse layouts and coordinate with production teams on material availability
• Identify process improvements and help implement solutions to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and product handling requirements

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of material handling or warehouse experience, with supervisory or senior-level experience preferred
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems and inventory software
• Strong physical capability to lift, carry, and move materials regularly
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
