Personal Support Specialist – Evenings and Overnights

About the Role

In this evening and overnight position, you'll deliver hands-on personal support to clients in their homes and care environments. Your role centers on building trust with the individuals you serve while ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity during hours when round-the-clock care makes a real difference. You'll work as an integral part of a care team, staying alert to client needs and maintaining clear communication with supervisors and clinical staff.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Support mobility and transfers while maintaining proper body mechanics and client safety
• Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance as needed
• Perform light household tasks including tidying, laundry, and maintaining a clean living space
• Monitor and report any changes in client condition, behavior, or health concerns
• Provide companionship and emotional support during evening and overnight hours
• Respond attentively and professionally to client requests and unexpected situations
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and client observations

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Personal Care Attendant (PCA) certification, home health aide certification, or willingness to pursue certification
• Previous experience in caregiving, personal support, or healthcare assistance
• Genuine empathy and ability to communicate respectfully with clients and families
• Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and assisting with client mobility
• Strong commitment to reliability and punctuality, essential for evening and overnight coverage
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with care team members
• Sound judgment and adaptability when addressing varied client needs
