Role Overview

The Payroll Specialist – Leaves will administer and process various types of employee leaves, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), State and municipal leaves, and ADA leaves. This role also involves managing company-specific leave policies. Reporting to the Director-Payroll, this position is crucial for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining accurate payroll records.

Responsibilities

• Administer and process FMLA, State and municipal leaves, and ADA leaves.
• Manage company-specific leave policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee leave requests.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records for each leave case.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments as needed to resolve any issues related to leaves and absences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with FMLA regulations and state-specific leave policies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with payroll software or systems a plus.
