We're seeking a part-time Optician to join our Palmer Square location in Bucktown. You'll be the main point of contact for patients, helping them find the perfect eyewear while collaborating with our optometrists to fulfill prescriptions and exceed expectations.

What You'll Do

• Fit and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses based on optometrist prescriptions
• Take precise measurements and ensure optimal frame fit for each patient
• Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their vision needs, style preferences, and budget
• Process and verify optical prescriptions for accuracy
• Educate patients about lens options, protective coatings, and proper eyewear care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage optical inventory
• Deliver outstanding customer service that builds patient loyalty and practice reputation

Who We're Looking For

• Certified Optician with current Illinois licensing or commitment to obtaining certification
• Demonstrated experience dispensing eyeglasses and fitting frames
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and precision in taking measurements
• Reliable, punctual professional with flexibility for part-time hours
• Familiarity with contemporary eyewear styles and lens technology
