PT Direct Support Professional: Weekend (8am-3pm), Evening (3pm-10pm)

Mercy Home for Children is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional in Canarsie and Flatlands, Brooklyn, with weekend day shifts (8am–3pm) and weekday evening shifts (3pm–10pm) available for compassionate caregivers ready to make a daily difference.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional with Mercy Home for Children in Brooklyn, you will provide hands-on assistance to the individuals we serve, helping them work toward personal milestones and live with dignity. This role calls for someone dependable, warm, and energetic who thrives in a person-centered care environment across our Canarsie and Flatlands locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the people we serve in pursuing the behavioral and developmental objectives detailed in their individual consumer plans.
• Document daily progress, observations, and program data clearly, accurately, and on time.
• Follow each consumer's plan precisely while encouraging growth, independence, and well-being.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging atmosphere during weekend and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Solid reading and writing skills, with the ability to record program information correctly.
• A valid, unrestricted New York State Driver's License.
• Willingness to earn and keep required certifications offered through our internal training, including SCIP-R, AMAP, First Aid, and CPR.
• A creative, motivated, and enthusiastic approach to caregiving.
