Part-Time Monitor

Montville Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Monitor to support student safety and supervision at Leonard J. Tyl Middle School in Montville, US.

About the Role

This is a full‑time support staff position that provides essential oversight during bus arrival and departure, as well as in the lunchroom, helping to maintain an orderly and secure environment for students and staff.

What You'll Do

• Monitor student behavior on school buses and ensure safe boarding and disembarking.
• Supervise students in the lunchroom, assisting with seating, food distribution, and cleanup.
• Enforce school policies and promptly address any disruptions or safety concerns.
• Communicate observations to teachers, administrators, and transportation staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents or notable observations when required.
• Assist with loading and unloading of backpacks and personal items to keep aisles clear.
