What This Role Involves
As a Part-Time Custodian, you'll handle the essential daily maintenance and cleaning of school facilities. Your work ensures classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas remain clean, sanitary, and safe. You'll operate cleaning equipment, manage waste disposal, and respond to maintenance requests—all critical to keeping our schools functioning smoothly and welcoming for the entire school community.
What You'll Do
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all interior and exterior facility areas
- Empty trash and recycling containers on established schedules
- Perform floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing
- Clean and stock restrooms; maintain sanitation and hygiene standards
- Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools
- Report maintenance issues and facility damage promptly
- Follow school district safety protocols and procedures
- Support special events and deep-cleaning projects as needed
Who We're Looking For
- Reliable and dependable with consistent attendance
- Physical ability to perform custodial tasks, lift materials, and work on your feet
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team
