What This Role Involves

• Providing accurate and culturally competent interpretation services for clients with limited English proficiency.
• Ensuring clear and effective communication between English-speaking and non-English-speaking individuals.
• Adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines for interpreters.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of community outreach programs.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and other organizations to meet the needs of diverse populations.

What You'll Do

• Conduct on-site interpreting for various services and events, including medical, legal, and social services.
• Translate and convey messages accurately and in real-time during face-to-face interactions.
• Support clients in navigating complex systems and processes by providing clear and concise communication.
• Document interpreting sessions as required by organizational policies and procedures.
• Participate in regular training and professional development activities to enhance your skills.

Who We're Looking For

• Bilingual in English and another language, with fluency in both languages.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service and maintaining confidentiality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using technology for interpreting services, including video conferencing tools.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
