On-Site Interpreting (OSI) Opportunity – Clark County

Prisma International, Inc. is seeking an On-Site Interpreter to provide professional interpretation services in the Clark County and Vancouver, Washington area. As a contract interpreter, you'll deliver real-time communication solutions across diverse settings on behalf of our clients.

What This Role Involves

On-site interpretation is a dynamic role where you'll travel to client locations throughout Clark County to provide immediate, accurate interpretation. You'll facilitate communication between parties who speak different languages, ensuring clarity and cultural understanding in real-time interactions. This contract position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professional standards in varied environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time interpretation at client sites throughout Vancouver, Washington and surrounding Clark County areas
• Deliver accurate interpretation while maintaining client confidentiality and professional ethics
• Travel to scheduled client locations as assigned
• Facilitate communication between participants with different language backgrounds
• Document interpretation activities and maintain required records
• Adapt interpretation approach to suit different settings, from formal business meetings to community services
• Ensure effective message delivery in both the source and target languages

Qualifications

• Professional fluency in English and at least one additional language
• Prior experience in professional interpreting or related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule on a contract basis
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations
• Professional demeanor and commitment to client confidentiality
• Ability to interpret accurately in fast-paced environments
