What This Role Involves
Banner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Supervisor for the Division of Neonatology at the University Medical Center Tucson Campus. The NNP Supervisor will provide coverage for our Level IV NICU and work closely with neonatologists in a dynamic academic setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill infants in the Level IV NICU
- Collaborate with neonatologists, residents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Supervise and mentor Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
- Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance the field of neonatology
- Support the academic mission by teaching medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Clinical experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with at least 5 years in a Level IV NICU setting
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills to mentor NNP staff
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Board certification in Neonatal Nursing or equivalent is required
- Experience with research and quality improvement preferred
