About the Role

Banner University Medicine Center - University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix (BUMC-UACOMP) is seeking a dynamic and visionary academic leader to serve as Section Chief-Motility Center within our Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology. This position offers an opportunity for an experienced physician to lead a team focused on advancing the field through research, education, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Motility Center in conducting high-quality clinical research and translational studies.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other departments within Banner Health and external institutions to foster interdisciplinary research initiatives.
• Educate medical students, residents, and fellows through teaching and mentorship programs.
• Provide expert clinical care for patients with motility disorders and related gastrointestinal issues.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Gastroenterology/Hepatology practice or research.
• Experience leading a research team and managing clinical trials is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• A commitment to advancing the field through innovative research and patient care.
