About the Role
As Nurse Manager of our Free-Standing ER/ED, you'll lead clinical operations, staff development, and quality initiatives in a fast-paced emergency environment. You'll report to senior leadership while maintaining your clinical foundation as a registered nurse, balancing direct patient care oversight with strategic team management.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and mentor emergency department nursing staff, fostering professional growth and accountability
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Manage scheduling, staffing allocation, and resource planning to maintain optimal ED operations
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical coordinators, and hospital leadership on process improvements
- Monitor patient outcomes, departmental metrics, and quality indicators
- Participate in hiring, performance management, and disciplinary procedures
- Support emergency care delivery while maintaining hands-on clinical involvement as needed
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license in South Carolina and minimum 3–5 years of emergency nursing experience
- Proven leadership or nursing supervisory experience
- Strong clinical knowledge of emergency medicine and triage protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage stress, prioritize competing demands, and remain composed in high-acuity settings
- Experience with electronic health records and hospital information systems
- Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and team collaboration
