The City of Memphis is seeking an experienced Nonprofit & Affordable Housing Administrator to lead and coordinate affordable housing initiatives within the Division of Housing and Community Development in Memphis, Shelby County. About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Housing and Community Development, the Nonprofit & Affordable Housing Administrator plans, organizes, and directs the full range of affordable housing programs for the City of Memphis. The position carries a salary range of $72,907.90 to $107,539.12 and centers on stewarding federal housing resources to support local development and nonprofit partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities and programs that make up the City's affordable housing portfolio.
- Administer and oversee the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program, supporting both rental and new construction development projects.
- Allocate and manage funding that enables Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) to deliver housing in the Memphis area.
- Work closely with the Director of Housing and Community Development to align program priorities, compliance, and outcomes.
- Monitor projects and partners to ensure responsible use of resources and adherence to applicable housing regulations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated background in affordable housing administration, community development, or the management of nonprofit and federally funded housing programs.
- Working knowledge of the HOME Investment Partnerships Program and CHDO funding structures.
- Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills suited to directing multiple housing initiatives at once.
- Ability to oversee rental and new construction development efforts from concept through completion.
