Mortgage Loan Officer

PNC Bank is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team in Myrtle Beach, Horry County. In this full-time position, you'll guide clients through the mortgage process and help them find loan products tailored to their financial goals.

About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Officer at PNC, you'll serve as the trusted advisor for borrowers seeking mortgage solutions in the Myrtle Beach area and greater Horry County. This role combines consultative sales with meticulous loan processing to ensure clients receive expert guidance on products suited to their circumstances. Working from our Myrtle Beach branch, you'll build lasting relationships with customers while maintaining the regulatory compliance and service standards PNC is known for across all our markets.

Your Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective borrowers to understand their financial situations, property goals, and mortgage needs
• Present mortgage products and loan programs, explaining rates, terms, costs, and available options clearly
• Collect and review financial documentation including pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, and credit information
• Initiate loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required paperwork and disclosures
• Coordinate with loan processors and underwriting to advance applications through approval workflows
• Maintain compliance with federal and state lending laws, including fair lending and consumer protection requirements
• Track loan pipeline metrics and work toward branch production goals
• Stay informed of product offerings and market conditions to provide current, relevant advice to clients

Skills & Qualifications

• Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license for South Carolina or commitment to obtaining one
• Background in sales, customer service, or financial services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex financial topics clearly
• Comfort working with numbers, financial documents, and loan origination systems
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Professional presence and dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences
• High school diploma or GED minimum; associate degree or higher a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
