About the Role
This full-time coaching position provides the opportunity to shape the development of middle school boys basketball players while working alongside the head coach to build a program centered on skill development, athletic excellence, and character growth. You'll contribute directly to training, competition, and the overall growth of our student-athletes.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the head coach to design and lead basketball training sessions focused on fundamentals, game strategy, and player development
- Organize and maintain coaching equipment while ensuring proper storage and readiness for practice and competition
- Attend and support the team at all regular-season games, tournaments, and special athletic events
- Mentor and guide individual players, fostering both on-court performance and off-court responsibility
- Communicate with players and families regarding team expectations, progress, and opportunities for growth
- Contribute to a program culture that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
- Assist with administrative tasks including roster management, schedules, and eligibility tracking

- Demonstrated knowledge of basketball fundamentals, tactics, and youth coaching best practices
- Genuine passion for working with middle school-aged athletes and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with coaches, players, and families
- Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance at all practices, games, and team events
- Ability to model positive behavior and encourage a respectful, inclusive athletic environment
- Experience coaching or working with young people in a structured athletic or educational setting preferred
