About the Role

As Hospital Accounting Manager, you'll oversee the complete accounting function for our facility, directing a team responsible for financial reporting, account reconciliation, and compliance with healthcare accounting standards. This role bridges clinical operations and finance, requiring both technical expertise and collaborative leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies and internal control procedures specific to hospital operations
• Direct daily accounting activities including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable processing, and month-end close procedures
• Oversee patient billing, insurance claim follow-up, and revenue cycle analytics to optimize collections and identify payment trends
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget reconciliations for leadership review
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements, audit standards, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve financial data accuracy
• Manage the accounting team, providing training, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with healthcare or hospital accounting background strongly preferred
• Proficiency with accounting software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing, revenue cycle, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• CPA certification or equivalent professional credential preferred
