Member Service Representative I/II – PJM Branch (300MSR1 / 300MSR2)

Current (MECU) is hiring a full-time Member Service Representative I or II at the Harry Deitchman PJM Center, 312 N. Martin Luther King Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21201 — a branch role that includes Saturday availability.

About the Role

As a Member Service Representative I/II at MECU's PJM Branch in Baltimore, you'll serve as a frontline ambassador for a not-for-profit credit union with a longstanding mission of strengthening the financial lives of its members and the broader Baltimore community. The MSR I and MSR II levels reflect experience and demonstrated proficiency, giving motivated candidates a clear path for growth within the branch.

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist members in person with account inquiries, transactions, and service requests in a professional, welcoming manner
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and other routine financial transactions accurately
• Open new accounts and guide members through product enrollment, explaining terms and features clearly
• Identify member financial needs and recommend appropriate MECU products and services
• Resolve member concerns efficiently while maintaining compliance with credit union policies and applicable regulations
• Balance cash drawer and maintain transaction accuracy throughout each shift, including Saturdays
• Contribute to branch goals by providing consistently high-quality member service

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a customer-facing financial services, banking, or credit union setting (MSR II candidates will have a stronger track record)
• Demonstrated cash-handling accuracy and comfort working with financial transactions
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills — you genuinely enjoy helping people
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures under a busy branch environment
• Availability to work Saturdays as part of a regular schedule
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or financial industry credentials a plus
