Join Lancesoft INC as a Med Surg RN at our Utica, Clark County facility. This full-time, 13-week position offers night shift hours supporting our medical-surgical patient care team with direct bedside nursing and compassionate patient recovery.
What This Role Involves
As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, you'll deliver direct patient care in a hospital setting, managing post-operative patients and those with complex medical conditions. You'll monitor clinical status, coordinate with physicians and clinical teams, educate patients and families, and use your nursing expertise to optimize patient outcomes during their hospital stay.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, intake and output, and clinical changes; communicate findings to the care team
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments according to established protocols
- Assess and manage patient pain, comfort needs, and wound care
- Educate patients and families on recovery, discharge planning, and self-care instructions
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the electronic health record system
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
- Respond to patient calls and prioritize care needs in a dynamic healthcare environment
What We're Looking For
- Valid RN licensure in the state
- Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work night shifts and function effectively in a team-based setting
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and hospital systems
