Lancesoft INC is placing a Data Analyst I to support merchant onboarding and business verification operations in San Francisco, California. This full-time, contract-based position is a strong entry point for an analytically minded professional looking to grow within a high-velocity fintech-adjacent environment.
About the Role
Embedded within the New Verticals Merchant Onboarding & Experience team, this Data Analyst I will serve as the central coordinator for business verification and identification (BVID) requests. You will own the full lifecycle of each request — from initial intake through resolution — ensuring every case is correctly categorized, routed to the appropriate directly responsible individuals (DRIs), and brought to completion with accuracy and speed.
What You'll Do
- Intake, review, and process all incoming BVID requests in a timely and organized manner
- Apply precise categorization tags and route each request to the correct DRI for review and sign-off
- Gather any clarifying details needed to move requests forward without delays
- Track open cases and maintain clean, up-to-date records to support operational visibility
- Surface trends, recurring issues, or workflow gaps that could improve onboarding efficiency
- Partner with compliance, operations, and product stakeholders to keep merchant onboarding running smoothly
- Uphold data quality standards across verification and onboarding datasets
What We're Looking For
- Background in a data analyst, operations analyst, or comparable role; strong entry-level candidates with relevant experience encouraged to apply
- Comfort navigating ticketing platforms, internal tools, and data-tracking systems
- High attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple active requests
- Clear, concise written communication for coordinating with DRIs and cross-functional partners
- Familiarity with merchant onboarding, KYB (Know Your Business), or business identity verification workflows is a plus
- Working knowledge of SQL or similar data querying tools is an advantage
Compensation & Position Details
- Pay rate: $38–$40/hr, W2 (all-inclusive)
- Contract duration: 11 months
