About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer on our factory automation team, you'll design, optimize, and validate the mechanical systems that power next-generation manufacturing. This is hands-on engineering work that directly impacts production capability and speed. You'll collaborate across software, robotics, and manufacturing teams to translate complex automation concepts into reliable, efficient systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for automated manufacturing systems
- Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings using industry-standard design tools
- Analyze and optimize mechanical performance, including stress analysis, motion simulation, and efficiency
- Conduct testing and validation of mechanical systems under real manufacturing conditions
- Collaborate with robotics, software, and production teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger automation solutions
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement design improvements based on performance data
- Evaluate manufacturing tolerances, materials, and production methods to ensure system reliability
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solidworks, Fusion 360, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, kinematics, and dynamics
- Experience with manufacturing processes, automation systems, or robotics
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
