Maintenance Technician (Make Ready) – Seasonal Temp – Full-Time

Weinstein Properties in Austin and Cedar Park, TX is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician (Make Ready) for a seasonal position from now through August. Compensation starts at $20.50 per hour, or $21.50 per hour if you hold EPA certification. You'll receive $100 bonuses at 30, 60, and 90-day milestones for continued tenure through summer, with the possibility of permanent placement if your performance is strong and a position becomes available.

What This Role Involves

In this position, you'll prepare vacant units and common areas for occupancy at one of our Cedar Park or North Austin communities. You'll manage the complete apartment readiness process, assist with maintenance requests across the property, and contribute to daily grounds and facility care. Working as part of an experienced maintenance team, you'll help ensure our properties remain well-maintained and inviting for residents while supporting a fast-paced operational environment.

What You'll Do

• Execute the full turnover and make-ready process for vacant apartments
• Support the maintenance team with work orders and routine repairs
• Maintain property grounds and landscaping on a daily basis
• Preserve the visual quality of the community, including amenities and pool areas
• Partner with maintenance team members to ensure property operations run efficiently

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• Demonstrated customer service orientation and commitment to quality workmanship
• Capacity to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
• Comfort managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors
• Comfortable climbing ladders and stairs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
• Working knowledge of standard office applications and mobile work order systems
• Ability to operate a golf cart
• Willingness to complete a background check
• EPA certification or HVAC troubleshooting experience is advantageous but not required
