Maintenance Technician – Make Ready

Weinstein Properties is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician – Make Ready to join our team at locations in Austin and Cedar Park, Texas. This is a stable, hands-on position with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and genuine opportunities for career growth.

The Opportunity

Join a well-established property management company that owns and operates communities across Texas. As a Maintenance Technician – Make Ready, you'll perform essential apartment preparation work in a collaborative environment with consistent standards and supportive leadership. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay starting at $19 per hour (or $20 per hour with EPA certification), plus an on-call stipend of $150 weekly and performance-based quarterly bonuses up to $980. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating emergency on-call responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Execute the complete make-ready process for vacant apartments, preparing units for incoming residents
• Respond to maintenance work orders and assist the team with repairs and preventive upkeep
• Maintain property grounds daily, including landscaping, walkways, and outdoor amenities
• Support the appearance and functionality of community spaces, including pools and recreational areas
• Collaborate with your maintenance team to ensure smooth day-to-day property operations

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on apartment or residential maintenance experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a reliable team member
• Strong customer service orientation and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Comfort prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable personal transportation
• Proficiency with computers and mobile devices for work orders and email
• Ability to operate a golf cart
• Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors year-round
• Competence with hand tools and power tools
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and HVAC troubleshooting experience preferred; HVAC certification training available for candidates willing to develop this skill
• Background check clearance required
