About the Role
This is a full-time, local contract position for a licensed RN supporting Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care (PCU), and Tele Step-Down patients in Rock Island, Illinois. The assignment runs 13 weeks at 36 hours per week, scheduled as 12-hour night shifts. As a local contract nurse, you'll deliver hands-on bedside care while enjoying the flexibility and competitive hourly rate that contract work provides.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and Stepdown patients during 12-hour night shifts.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in line with established protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and the broader care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Illinois.
- Clinical experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, PCU, or Tele Step-Down settings.
- Availability to commit to a 13-week, 36-hour-per-week schedule on 12-hour night shifts.
- Ability to work locally on-site in Rock Island, Rock Island County (this role is not remote).
