What This Role Involves
The role of a Legal Assistant/Paralegal within this highly regarded law firm is to provide support and assistance across the Dispute Resolution team, with a specific focus on Wills & Estates matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client files, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and liaising with clients and other stakeholders.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Managing client files and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Preparing legal documents such as wills, trusts, and probate applications
- Conducting research for case-related matters
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, and other professionals to gather information and provide updates
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations for team meetings
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a proactive and organised Legal Assistant/Paralegal who has experience working within a legal environment. Key requirements include:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in Wills & Estates matters
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work produced
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
