About the Role
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented legal professional to serve as the administrative and legal backbone of our family law practice. You'll work directly with attorneys on a variety of domestic relations matters, managing case flow, preparing documents, and coordinating court activities. This role requires court familiarity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and file legal documents related to divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and other family law matters
- Maintain organized case files and manage document systems for active cases
- Schedule hearings, depositions, and client consultations
- Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and third parties
- Support discovery preparation and trial readiness activities
- Respond to client questions and provide administrative assistance to attorneys
- Track deadlines, filing requirements, and court procedures
What We're Looking For
- Five or more years of legal assistant experience, preferably in family law
- Solid understanding of family law terminology, procedures, and court processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with legal software, Word, Excel, and standard office technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional judgment and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Reliable transportation and availability for in-office work
