Saint Xavier University's Mathematics Department is hiring a full-time Lecturer in Mathematics to join our faculty in Mount Greenwood, Chicago. This annually renewable position offers an opportunity to shape the mathematical education of diverse undergraduate students across multiple majors and programs.

The Opportunity

Saint Xavier University seeks a dedicated mathematics educator for this full-time, non-tenure-track lecturer role within our Mathematics Department. You'll play a vital role in supporting our General Education mathematics curriculum, Middle Level Education, Secondary Education Mathematics majors, a mathematics minor program, and service courses across campus. This position is renewable annually based on teaching performance and departmental needs, providing stable, meaningful work in a collaborative academic environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics courses across general education and major/minor programs with high-quality instruction
• Develop and deliver engaging curriculum aligned with institutional learning outcomes
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction to support diverse learning needs
• Maintain regular office hours and provide student advising and support
• Participate in department meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development
• Contribute to the overall mission and culture of Saint Xavier University

What You Bring

• Master's degree in Mathematics or closely related field (or equivalent professional/teaching experience)
• Demonstrated excellence in mathematics instruction at the undergraduate level
• Ability to teach across multiple course levels and student populations
• Strong communication skills and commitment to student success
• Professional background or experience teaching in higher education preferred
