About This Position

This is a full-time Lead Sales Associate role at Dollar General in Sun City Center. You'll be at the heart of daily store operations, balancing customer engagement with team support and meeting sales goals. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills, work with a diverse customer base, and grow within Dollar General's expanding retail network across Hillsborough County and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering product questions, and processing transactions with accuracy and efficiency
• Support store merchandising, including stocking shelves, maintaining displays, and ensuring products are properly organized and visible
• Assist in training and mentoring other team members on sales techniques, store procedures, and customer service standards
• Handle cash register operations, manage drawer balancing, and follow all company financial policies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor that reflects Dollar General's standards
• Support the store manager and assistant manager with operational tasks and special projects
• Help meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Previous retail or customer service experience strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including flexibility with hours
• Basic math and cash handling proficiency
• Reliable transportation to reach our Sun City Center location
