About the Role

As a Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General McFarland, you'll serve as a frontline leader who keeps daily store operations running smoothly. What You'll Do

• Support store managers in directing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Provide customer service that reflects Dollar General's mission of serving others — greeting shoppers, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive in-store experience
• Lead by example on the sales floor: stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness and planogram compliance
• Operate the cash register accurately, process transactions, and handle cash management duties
• Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise shipments and verifying inventory counts
• Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert to shrinkage and following company security policies
• Step into a supervisory capacity in the absence of store management, directing team members and maintaining operational flow

What We're Looking For

• Prior retail or customer service experience, ideally in a lead, key holder, or supervisory capacity
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable — comfortable working a full-time schedule that may include evenings and weekends
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and navigating a fast-paced store environment
• Basic math skills and comfort operating a point-of-sale system
