What You'll Do

• Support the store manager by leading and motivating sales associates during assigned shifts
• Greet customers and provide attentive, friendly service consistent with Dollar General's Serving Others mission
• Operate the cash register accurately, process transactions, and handle returns or exchanges
• Maintain proper merchandise stocking, facing, and signage throughout the store
• Assist with unloading deliveries, organizing stockrooms, and rotating product
• Monitor store cleanliness and ensure a safe shopping environment
• Open and close the store as needed, following all security and loss prevention protocols
• Train and guide new team members on store procedures and customer service standards

What We're Looking For

• Prior retail or customer-facing experience, ideally with some supervisory or lead responsibility
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work a flexible full-time schedule including evenings and weekends
• Comfort standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
• Basic math skills and comfort operating a point-of-sale system
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
