About the Role
As a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant, you'll work alongside our lead teacher to create a warm, engaging classroom environment where children explore, discover, and build foundational academic and social skills. Reporting to the Division Head, you'll play an essential role in supporting small-group instruction, managing classroom activities, and fostering an atmosphere of kindness and respect rooted in our Episcopal values.
What You'll Do
- Assist with classroom instruction, including reading, math, science, and creative activities tailored to early learners
- Support classroom management and help children develop positive behavior and social-emotional skills
- Prepare and organize learning materials, manipulatives, and classroom resources
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students who need additional guidance
- Monitor and record student progress and communicate observations with the lead teacher
- Help with transitions, meals, and outdoor play while modeling enthusiasm and engagement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting learning space
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; child development coursework or early childhood certification is a plus
- Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth
- Patient, nurturing demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow classroom procedures and collaborate with teaching staff
- Basic organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude

Compensation & Details
This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $32,000–$34,000, commensurate with experience.
