Litchfield Elementary School District #79 is hiring an Extended Day Aide (2025/2026) to support its Community Education program at Belen Soto Elementary School K-8, providing a safe, engaging environment for students before and after the regular school day.
About the Role
As an Extended Day Aide with Litchfield Elementary School District #79, you will help deliver enriching supervision and activities for K-8 students within the District's Community Education / Extended Day Assistant program. This is a non-exempt position based at Belen Soto Elementary School in Arizona, with an immediate (ASAP) availability and an open posting that remains active until the role is filled.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage students in a structured, welcoming extended-day setting.
- Assist program staff in organizing recreational, social, and learning activities appropriate for K-8 learners.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment that supports student well-being.
- Reinforce school expectations and encourage respectful, cooperative behavior.
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and school personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- A valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required for this position.
- Ability to work patiently and attentively with elementary and middle school students.
- Dependability, strong supervision skills, and a commitment to student safety.
- New hires are placed according to the District's attached placement chart based on verified years of relevant experience.
Terms of Employment
- 9-month, part-time schedule.
- 4 hours per day, 5 days per week.
- Non-exempt classification.
- Work location: Belen Soto Elementary School K-8, Arizona, US.
