The Opportunity

Promote your career with PPG as an IT Team Manager (DevOps). As a global leader, we offer you the chance to define and architect our cloud applications portfolio and infrastructure. You'll lead a team of fifteen DevOps engineers towards successful initiatives, develop strategies, and implement best practices in automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and release management.

What You'll Do

• Lead a global team of DevOps engineers distributed over different geographies.
• Develop and implement DevOps and DevSecOps strategies aligned with company goals.
• Establish best practices for infrastructure automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and release management.
• Create and maintain a Community of Practices (CoP) to evangelize best practices in deployment methods, branching strategies, etc.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks such as infrastructure provisioning, release notes, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Implement and ensure DevOps metrics are met and reduce technical backlog.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to optimize software delivery and deployment.
• Participate in the recruitment of IT support personnel.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Team Manager or similar role with a focus on DevOps.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage global teams effectively.
• Expertise in developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation strategies, and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with various DevOps tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Strong understanding of security practices within a DevSecOps framework.
• Experience in creating and maintaining best practices for deployment methods, branching strategies, etc.
• Aptitude to drive automation initiatives and streamline operational tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across different geographies.
