PPG is recruiting an Aerospace Production Operator for our manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, Dallas. This part-time role offers $22.52 per hour with flexible shift schedules—choose between 5:00 AM–1:30 PM or 1:30 PM–10:00 PM shifts—while contributing to the production of precision aerospace components.
About the Role
As an Aerospace Production Operator at our Grand Prairie location, you'll be essential to our manufacturing operations, working with aerospace-grade materials and components. You'll operate specialized equipment, ensure adherence to rigorous quality standards, and maintain the precision required for aerospace applications. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in manufacturing excellence.
What You'll Do
- Operate aerospace production equipment and machinery according to specifications
- Assemble and fabricate aircraft components and subassemblies
- Perform quality control inspections to verify components meet aerospace standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Monitor production workflows and report any equipment issues or deviations
- Maintain detailed production records and documentation
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain workplace cleanliness and organization
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets
What We're Looking For
- U.S. citizenship, valid Green Card, or approved refugee or asylee status
- Ability to access and work with information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing, production assembly, or industrial production environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and precision
- Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules, including early morning and evening hours
- Demonstrated reliability and teamwork
