Intern, Environmental Health & Safety

Magna International is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety Intern to join our team across the United States. This part-time position offers hands-on experience in occupational safety and environmental compliance within the automotive manufacturing industry. You'll support our commitment to maintaining safe, healthy workplaces while contributing to industry-leading product development and operational excellence.

About the Role

As an Environmental Health & Safety Intern at Magna International, you'll gain practical experience in workplace safety management, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. Working alongside experienced EHS professionals, you'll develop foundational knowledge in safety protocols, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives that protect our workforce and communities.

What You'll Do

• Assist with workplace safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident documentation
• Support development and delivery of safety training and awareness programs
• Help maintain EHS records, reports, and compliance documentation
• Research and compile information on safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to workplace safety improvement projects and initiatives
• Shadow EHS team members on audits, investigations, and facility evaluations

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Solid written and verbal communication abilities
• Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety regulations, or environmental compliance (preferred)
• Ability to work effectively in team environments
• Genuine interest in occupational safety and environmental responsibility
