The American Heart Association is hiring a part-time Community Events Intern based in Louisville, Kentucky to support our mission-driven initiatives across the community. About the Role

As a Community Events Intern, you'll play a vital role in bringing health awareness campaigns and educational programming to life across Louisville. This part-time position focuses on event support and community engagement, allowing you to make a measurable impact on public health efforts while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit community development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of community health events and awareness initiatives
• Assist with event logistics, including venue coordination, materials preparation, and attendee management
• Help promote community programs through communications, outreach, and social channels
• Engage with community members and partners to build relationships and gather feedback
• Support fundraising events that advance cardiovascular health education and research
• Track event attendance and outcomes to inform program evaluation

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate in communications, public health, business, nonprofit management, or a related field
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Genuine interest in public health and community service
