The American Heart Association invites you to join our team as a Part Time Intern for Development & Community Events in Johnson, Washington County, in the Fayetteville, Arkansas area. Support our mission to prevent cardiovascular disease while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit event management, fundraising, and community engagement.
About the Role
Founded in 1924, the American Heart Association has led the fight against cardiovascular disease. In this internship, you'll assist our development and community events team in the Fayetteville area, working on initiatives that engage donors, volunteers, and community members in building healthier lives.
What You'll Do
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing community events and fundraising activities
- Support outreach initiatives that engage donors, volunteers, and community members
- Help coordinate event logistics for programs promoting cardiovascular health awareness
- Maintain community contact databases and event records
- Contribute to marketing materials and social media for events and initiatives
- Provide administrative support to the development and community events team
- Assist with volunteer recruitment and coordination
