Role Overview
An Intellectual Property Associate Attorney is sought to join a San Francisco-based firm’s Hatch-Waxman and pharmaceutical patent litigation team. The role involves managing a full spectrum of litigation work—from pre-suit investigations and discovery to motion practice, trial, and appeal—collaborating with nationally recognized IP litigators, scientists, and technical experts.
What You'll Do
- Manage all phases of Hatch-Waxman litigation including pre-suit investigation, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, scientific consultants, and technical experts to develop legal strategies for complex pharmaceutical patent cases.
- Conduct thorough research on relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and industry trends to support litigation efforts.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in intellectual property law or patent litigation, preferably with a focus on Hatch-Waxman cases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation matters independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills and the capacity for clear written and oral communication are essential.
