Position Summary
AnaVation is seeking a highly motivated Information Systems Security Engineer to support a high-visible contract. The ISSE will be responsible for delivering cybersecurity engineering, secure software development, DevSecOps integration, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation across the Department of Defense. This position involves working alongside Government engineers, Cyber Operations Teams (COT), Cyber Penetration Teams (CPT), software developers, cloud engineers, and DevSecOps personnel to engineer, implement, automate, and continuously improve cybersecurity controls supporting mission applications and cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Integrate cybersecurity requirements into cloud-native applications, Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized workloads throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, implement, test, and sustain security controls that enable secure software delivery within agile and DevSecOps environments.
- Serve as an embedded cybersecurity engineer to support secure capability delivery across multiple value streams and classification levels.
- Enable Continuous Authority to Operate (cATO), Zero Trust, and cloud-native cybersecurity initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- A highly motivated Information Systems Security Engineer with a strong background in cybersecurity engineering.
- Experience with secure software development, DevSecOps integration, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation.
- Proficiency in cloud-native applications, Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized workloads.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment alongside Government engineers, Cyber Operations Teams (COT), Cyber Penetration Teams (CPT), software developers, cloud engineers, and DevSecOps personnel.
