Information Security (Senior) Manager (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity consultancy serving private and governmental clients across Europe. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Information Security (Senior) Manager to join their Munich office, leading a team of GRC and CISOaaS consultants while driving strategic security initiatives for high-profile clients.

This is a leadership role combining team management, hands-on client consulting, and pre-sales responsibilities. You'll work with organizations to mature their security posture, implement frameworks, and serve as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of GRC and CISOaaS consultants, ensuring high-quality service delivery
• Assess client security maturity using ISO, BSI, or NIST standards and identify improvement opportunities
• Design and implement fit-for-purpose security programs aligned with industry frameworks
• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Oversee implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls at client organizations
• Act as security champion, driving adoption and awareness throughout client companies
• Provide executive-level reporting on security posture and program progress
• Facilitate steering committees with stakeholders to guide and adapt security initiatives
• Support pre-sales by developing Statements of Work, project plans, and requirement definitions
• Manage technical account relationships for strategic, top-tier clients

What We're Looking For

• Eligibility for NATO Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Security, or related field
• Professional certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Implementer/Auditor or equivalent strongly preferred
• Proven experience as a CISO or successfully implementing ISO27k/BSI Grundschutz, including risk assessment, roadmap creation, and policy development
• Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, DORA, NIST, NIS-2, GDPR and related frameworks
• Familiarity with risk management methodologies applied to cybersecurity
• Ability to understand business complexity and adapt security programs and communication style to client needs
• Fluent German and English (written and verbal) with ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Leadership experience managing teams and collaborating across functions
