PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) is recruiting an ICMS LCSW Program Clinician - Special Programs for our Los Angeles County office to deliver clinical mental health support within our Permanent Supportive Housing program. This is a full-time position based in Los Angeles working with individuals transitioning from homelessness to stable housing.

About the Role

As an LCSW Clinician on our Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) team, you'll provide clinical expertise to interdisciplinary staff supporting chronically homeless individuals with complex mental health and substance use histories. You'll assess clients' needs, intervene during crises, and coordinate mental health treatment—serving as a clinical resource and strategic partner to case managers and program teams dedicated to housing stability.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct crisis response and risk assessments for program participants as situations arise
  • Perform intake assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations to inform treatment planning
  • Train and consult with program staff on mental health topics and evidence-based approaches
  • Participate in home visits and community outreach alongside case management teams
  • Facilitate connections to mental health and substance abuse treatment providers
  • Deliver short-term counseling services while clients access longer-term treatment resources
  • Collaborate with assigned case managers and multidisciplinary team members on client progress
  • Maintain compliant case documentation and keep client files organized and current

What We're Looking For

  • Active California Board of Behavioral Sciences licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC)
  • Minimum one year of clinical supervision experience in programs serving homeless and/or comorbid populations
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills with attention to clinical documentation accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members and stakeholders
  • Clinical judgment and problem-solving capability in high-need situations
  • A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation (essential for this role)
  • Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Eligibility to work in the United States (we cannot sponsor visas)
  • Successful completion of background screening, tuberculosis testing, and drug screening as a condition of employment
