About the Role
You'll take full ownership of HVAC system installations as our Lead Install Technician, managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining the high-quality workmanship Southern Home Services is known for. This full-time position is based in Douglasville and covers the Douglas County area and surrounding communities.
What You'll Do
- Lead residential HVAC installation projects from design assessment through system commissioning and customer handoff
- Install and configure central air systems, furnaces, heat pumps, ductwork, and refrigeration components
- Supervise and train junior technicians, providing hands-on guidance and quality assurance on every installation
- Perform system testing and diagnostics to verify proper operation and energy efficiency
- Manage customer relationships by explaining system operation, addressing questions, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain detailed project records, material tracking, and labor documentation
- Enforce safety protocols and site compliance on every job
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience
- Proven track record leading or supervising HVAC installation teams
- Strong technical expertise in air conditioning systems, heating equipment, and refrigeration principles
- EPA Section 608 certification or ability to obtain
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret HVAC system schematics
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
