Amazon is hiring a Sr. Applied AI Solutions Architect for Public Sector, Amazon Connect in Arlington, Arlington County. This full-time role will lead the design and delivery of AI-powered contact center solutions that help government agencies modernize their customer engagement operations.
About the Role
As a Sr. Applied AI Solutions Architect, you'll drive end-to-end strategy for bringing Amazon Connect and AI solutions to public sector customers. You'll combine deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, artificial intelligence, and contact center technology with business acumen to uncover customer needs and accelerate their digital transformation. This role sits within the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization, where you'll own both the technical direction and market positioning of your technology domain.
What You'll Do
- Design and validate AI-driven contact center architectures that solve real government challenges around citizen engagement, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
- Partner with AWS customers and systems integrators to translate public sector requirements into scalable Amazon Connect and AI solutions.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and thought leadership content that position AWS as the trusted partner for government digital modernization.
- Mentor technical teams and customers on best practices for deploying secure, compliant contact center solutions in regulated government environments.
- Collaborate with product teams to gather customer feedback and inform the roadmap for Amazon Connect capabilities in the public sector.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with deep expertise in contact center technology, cloud platforms, or customer engagement systems.
- Proven track record delivering complex solutions to government agencies or in regulated industries.
- Strong foundation in AI/machine learning concepts and ability to explain how they apply to real customer problems.
- Excellent communication skills—able to articulate technical strategies to executives and customers alike.
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent) strongly preferred.
