Key Responsibilities

• Provide managers and employees with clear guidance on HR policies, procedures and routine employment matters
• Support recruitment steps such as coordinating vacancy activity, preparing shortlists and arranging interviews
• Assist with employee relations activity, including informal resolution, formal case administration and accurate note-taking
• Handle sickness absence and leave requests in line with agreed procedures
• Maintain employee records and confidential HR files to a high standard of accuracy and data protection
• Draft standard letters, contracts and variations and help keep documentation consistent
• Contribute to onboarding so joiners receive a clear and welcoming start
• Flag practical improvements that strengthen people processes and compliance

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience in a generalist HR advisory or comparable people-support setting
• Sound working knowledge of UK employment practice and common HR processes
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the confidence to guide managers
• Excellent organisation, discretion and attention to detail with sensitive information
• A pragmatic, solution-focused style and the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Confidence using HR systems and everyday office software
