Role Overview
The Housing Coordinator is responsible for implementing and overseeing the housing program within the Domestic Violence Housing First Initiative (DVHI) at Journey Center for Safety and Healing. This role involves direct supervision of Community Advocates to ensure effective case management services are provided to clients.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee the housing referrals and supportive services within the DVHI program
- Provide direct supervision to Community Advocates, ensuring they deliver high-quality case management services
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations of the housing program
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in social services, housing assistance, or related field
- Strong supervisory skills and ability to provide guidance and support to staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with domestic violence issues and housing resources is preferred
