Role Overview
Milton Hershey School is seeking dedicated Houseparents to live on campus and create a safe, nurturing home environment for students in a residential school setting. Houseparents support students’ daily routines, social and emotional growth, and character development while modeling positive values and life skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise after-school activities to ensure student safety and participation
- Manage household responsibilities and maintain a clean living environment
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional needs in collaboration with other staff members
- Mentor and guide students to develop positive life skills and values
- Participate in school events and activities as needed
Qualifications
- Dedicated and compassionate individual with a passion for working with children
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Previous experience in education, child care, or related field is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
