What This Role Involves
Milton Hershey School is seeking dedicated Houseparents to live on campus and create a safe, nurturing home environment for students in a residential school setting. Houseparents support students' daily routines, social and emotional growth, and character development while modeling positive values and life skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise after-school activities to promote student engagement and well-being
- Manage household responsibilities, including meal preparation, cleaning, and maintenance
- Mentor students in academic, social, and emotional development
- Model positive values and life skills through daily interactions and guidance
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student care and education
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. Ideal candidates will have:
- A strong commitment to child welfare and development
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or residential setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
